About this Webinar

A sense of belonging is one of the strongest protective factors for young people, helping build resilience and wellbeing, yet it's often overlooked in day-to-day safeguarding practice. In this free webinar, Miry Mayer, Programme Manager at the Anti-Bullying Alliance, explores what belonging really means in schools and how practitioners can use data to strengthen it.

You'll leave with a clear understanding of why belonging is fundamental to a safe, inclusive safeguarding culture and how to put it into practice.

  • What belonging means and why it matters for young people's welfare.
  • The key factors that shape a pupil's sense of belonging, and how they show up in everyday school life.
  • Practical ways to use data to identify gaps, strengthen wellbeing programmes and track impact.
