In Alternative Provisions safeguarding doesn’t start with a form, it begins with relationships built on trust. Young people in AP settings are more likely to disclose concerns to adults they trust, yet safeguarding systems often focus on paperwork rather than the relationships that make early intervention possible.
In this webinar Jade Neivens-Brown from Provisions Plus+ and Brian Murphy from Storyy Group explore how alternative provisions can take safeguarding from policy to practice. Together, they will examine how relational approaches strengthen safeguarding culture and reduce delays in providing support, even in complex arrangements such as dual-registered and multi-site provision.

Jade Neivens-Brown is the founder and director of Provisions Plus+, a specialist service dedicated to enhancing quality and best practice in Alternative Provision. Drawing on extensive experience in alternative education and behaviour management, Jade leads a national network of unregistered AP providers and delivers quality assurance, training, insight and support to schools, local authorities and professionals working with vulnerable young people.

Brian operates as the Managing Director of Storyy Group, overseeing all areas of the business and ensuring quality of service and care.
Having grown up in the care system himself, Brian has experienced first-hand what it’s like to grow up as a Looked After Child (LAC); this was Brian’s main drive behind starting Storyy Group. Brian wants to improve the lives of all young people who come into Storyy Group and provide them with the tools to succeed in life.
